GULP

Alright, (that's my favorite introductory statement). I went to work today and something disgusting happened. Should I start there or with school this morning. Okay, let's start with school.

Last night I stayed up until 1:30am studying for my History Test this morning. I woke up at 6:30am and headed to school to get some more studying in and plus I had some homework I hadn't even started. I really didn't know what to expect with the test seeing as how this was the first one I've taken in Professor Arnold's class. I was surprised to see how detailed it was. There were multiple choice questions, true false, matching, and essay questions. I guess it kinda helped to break up the test a little. I think I did fine on it but I also thought I did fine on my last two tests and I didn't. Next Friday I'll let cha know.

Alright moving onto what happened at work this evening, cause I now you're dying to find out...

I had this obnoxious table with two adults, two grandparents, and two brats. They were all cheap and weird. Like, socially awkward weird, I don't get out in public much weird, my children don't know how to behave in a fine dinning establishment weird. They order their food and are eating it. The two little girls keep moving from one side of the table to the other checking out everyone's food or whatever little girls do at the dinner table. As I'm walking by I see one of the girls standing between her table and the table next to her looking at me. Get this! She is wearing a red and white dress with a knitted sweater jacket. Her brown hair is beyond her shoulders and she has bangs. Her arms are lifeless by her side, her head lowered and mouth open. Are you getting the picture? She looks like the chick from the exorcist or something.

It gets better.... (I'm getting nauseous thinking about it) I look at the floor and there is a huge pile of white and green chunks. SHE VOMITED! Vomit was actaully still pouring from her mouth and she's letting it happen! I almost lost it right then and there. I was about to run out side and throw up. Here's the weird thing. She just threw up and no one noticed. It took another 30 seconds before anyone would take notice. Anyways, I left before anyone started to say anything. I made a dash for the front desk to get some napkins for someone to throw over the mess. There was no way I could go back over there because I don't have the stomach for that kind of stuff. I would have just added to the mess. Fortunately the girl's mom was returning from the bathroom. I'm holding a stack of napkins outstretched to her and I'm gagging trying to spit out the words "you're daugh, daugh, daughter, threw uggghp. GULP. I can't do it, I can't do it. I can't clean it up I'll lose my lunch!" Looking back on it, I find it kinda funny. At the time I seriously almost puked on a guest. I just kept my distance from the whole scene.
At this point guests had gotten up from other tables to get some fresh air. The manager found out what was going on and went to clean up the mess. Better him then me. The nasty people didn't even give me a 20% tip. You'd think with all the trouble and embarrassment they would have wanted to make up for it monetarily, right? I just thought I would share my encounter with Emily Rose today.

I had a lot to eat today. I was so hungry. I'm still so hungry. It's getting late and I need to get homework done in the morning.

  1. Ewwwwwwwww.

Yeah, luckily that never happened to me, because I surely would have puked too. Gross!

Why is that some parents feel like you, as their waiter, are responsible for cleaning up after their messy children? Gah! It's annoying.

I'm glad you survived it, and your test. I'm sure you did great!
